Patrick Minks is an all-round film professional who studied Drama and Film at the University of Amsterdam and Film Editing at the Dutch Film Academy.
As a film editor he's worked with acclaimed Dutch directors like Heddy Honigmann, Jos de Putter, Hany Abu-Assad and Walter Stokman and internationally with Liew Seng Tat, Gabor Hörcher, Thom Vander Beken, Bora Lee-Kil, Janis Rafa and Lei Lei.
As a tutor, Patrick has been involved in the Master Film programme at the Dutch Film Academy and at DOK Incubator. He regularly consults filmmakers and visual artists on their scripts and rough cuts.

Patrick has written and directed several short fiction films, and he co-wrote the feature film Above us all which premiered at the Berlinale in 2014 and was awarded as Best Feature 3D Image Festival in Lodz.
His first feature documentary Michel, actor loses the words was nominated for Best Flemish Documentary in 2018.
His second feature documentary The Proof of the Pudding premiered at AFFR 2022, had a theatrical release in the Netherlands early 2023, and is still touring various festivals around the world.
